Welcome to the Apopka/Altamonte Springs VFW Military Museum.

We hope you will enjoy VFW Post 10147 military museum. The museum contains many artifacts, most of which were donated by our members.  Among the members of the Apopka/Altamonte Springs VFW Post 10147 are many brave men and women who have contributed greatly, and at a great personal risk to this country's military endeavors. Many of the clothing articles displayed in the museum were worn by our members in many Land, Sea and Air battles. We owe a large debt of gratitude to these men and women, who served in the military, for the many freedoms and privileges that we enjoy today.

 

A lot of time and effort has gone into acquiring and displaying the many articles included in the museum and we hope they will give visitors more insight into and appreciation for our military. Our thanks go out to the Officers and members of our post for their military contributions.

 

As you visit the museum and learn more about the wars our country has fought, I'm sure you will gain a greater appreciation for the sacrifices and contributions made by the many men and women who have served in our military services, and for the need to honor them. There is also a wealth of information about military actions and weaponry in the museum's library books and individuals can check them out and read them at their leisure.
